Orton and Gould

Christopher J. Orton is a composer/writer/ actor/singer/musician who hails from Chepstow, South Wales. he trained at the Royal Northern College Of Music and the Royal Academy Of Music. His performing credits include the role of Lancelot in Spamalot (West End & U.K. tour), and roles in The Hot Mikado, Martin Guerre and Spend Spend Spend (all at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury)  and Songs For A New World (Freiburg, Germany). In 2008 he won the title of Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer Of the Year. He is the composer of the musical Dracula (with librettist/lyricist Gareth Evans) and a number of musicals penned with Robert Gould.
Robert Gould is a graduate of the University Of Wales,  Swansea, a former teacher and author of history books for schools. His musical theatre writing credits include the Book & Lyrics for the musicals Lovers, Alone and Vocalize! (with composer Ty Kroll), The Dying Game (with co-writer Jimmy Granstrom and composers Ty Kroll, Tristan Bons and Filip von Uexkull), Roundabout (with composer and co-lyricist Joe Sterling) and Shadow On the Sun (with co-writer Jimmy Granstrom and composer Omri Lahav). He also wrote lyrics for the Tim Prottey-Jones albums, More With Every Line and Surrounded By The Sounds.
Orton and Gould's collaborative works include the musicals My Land's Shore, Elephant Juice, Based On A True Story, Grace Notes and Flop!, as well as the plays The Road To Port Of Barry, Independence Dai and The Shed. Chris and Bob began working together in 2006 when they put together a number of scenes and songs from the musical Elephant Juice for a workshop at the Royal Academy Of M usic. Since then they have continued to collaborate on a series of innovative and exciting new projects.
